United Nations International Court of Justice

Every individual is entitled to justice, a fundamental right upheld by the International Court of Justice. Within this committee, we engage in profound discussions addressing some of the world's most pressing issues, spanning topics such as ownership, economic disparities, genocide, human rights, terrorism, and other compelling conversations. Formally instituted by the UN Charter in 1945, the International Court of Justice commenced its operations in 1946, succeeding the Permanent Court of International Justice that had been in operation at the Peace Palace since 1922.

Karim Nabil, Chair

Karim Mohamed, a law enthusiast who stumbled upon the ICJ which enhanced his interest in court. He is outgoing specially in fields with law where he makes sure hes ahead of his competition which has led him to the discovery of MUNs which acted as a boost to his interest in debating. Public speaking has been a passion as long as he could remember which causes him to value those very experience in MUNs which can not be replicated else where.

Sara Noor, Co-Chair

As a self proclaimed activist-in-the-making and fellow woman in STEM, Sara is an ambitious and passionate individual for the improvement and development of the world not only scientific and philosophical teachings but in the state of the world as we know it. She is a strong believer in justice and the responsibility of every individual to uphold it to ensure the betterment of this world and is simply ecstatic to be apart of this year’s edition of PRISMUN.
